Browers
Re: the assignment #2 on BROWSERS-- if you cannot get a version of Netscape to view then use AOL or LYNX or download Firefox 1.0 "the faster, better web browser. Now available in 27 languages, for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux". http://www.mozilla.org/
Compare any two browsers for this assignment. Read through the tutorial from Albany on the IE Browser.
Use the Archives to the right on this page. This information is available on 2/14/05 from the Spring semester. See Sunday 2/27/2005 for updated sites on Assignment 4.

Assignment 8. THE RESEARCH PAPER
- Choose any topic of interest to you and show how it has been helped or enhanced by the Internet. What has been the effect of the Internet on your topic? How does your topic relate to the Internet?
Once your topic is approved, write 6-7 typed (word processed--assume 250 words per page), Include a Works Cited (or Bibliography), section which has at least three (3) fully cited web sites plus references to books, magazine articles and any other sources such as email, newsgroups, and newspaper articles.
Determine the topic you will be researching and submit first as Assignment 8 by Tuesday June 28 the latest.
I will be attending the American Library Association conference in Chicago this weekend returning on Tuesday. I hope to be able to access my class and email while at the conference.

Beginning survey
Please attempt the Beginning Survey again. I found that the Spring semester students were still loaded on it so I have gone in and included all your names. The tests will be open for a few days each time, later in the semester.
Thank you all for attending the orientation. It should prove very helpful along with the booklet. I will be at the library on the Reference Desk tomorrow Thursday, June 23rd from 12 noon to 2 PM. Ask for me, if you don't see me. If you did not attend the orientation and cannot come tomorrow please request a booklet from the Distance Education office on the floor below the library.
